Entry permit

We apply for the entry permit for your domestic worker. A refundable deposit of AED 2,000 applies to expatriate sponsors, and you will need your IBAN for the refund later. If the worker is already in the UAE on a visit or cancelled visa, approval comes through by SMS after typing and you move straight to the change of status. If she is still outside the country, the same permit is what she travels in on.

Change of status

This follows the entry permit approval for workers already inside the country. The application is valid for up to 60 days, and the residency visa must be completed before that expiry or the application lapses. Your worker cannot leave the country until the residence visa is stamped. If she has to travel in an emergency, the entry permit can be cancelled so she can depart.

Medical fitness test

Under UAE law every domestic worker must be certified fit to work before a residence visa is issued. Typing is completed before she attends, and the examination takes place at an approved government health centre. The certificate is valid for 90 days. Our package returns the result within 48 hours.

Emirates ID

The Emirates ID application is required for residence visa approval. First time applicants must complete biometrics within 10 days of the application being generated, otherwise it becomes invalid. Validity is two years for Emirati and GCC sponsors and one year for expatriate sponsors.

Medical insurance

Health cover is mandatory for every domestic worker. The policy is issued once the labour contract is signed and the fit medical certificate and Emirates ID typing copy have been submitted.

Employment contract

Domestic workers are covered by Federal Law 10 of 2017. A MOHRE employment contract is printed for new visa applications, and also where the sponsor still holds an older contract that needs replacing.

Residency visa application

The final step. Once approved, the residence visa sticker is placed in your worker passport. Validity is two years for Emirati sponsors and one year for expatriate and GCC sponsors, and under our sponsorship the worker stays covered for the full two years.

WPS salary account and ATM card

Salaries are paid through a C3 card, accepted at more than 350 ATMs and for payments in store and online. With the mobile app your worker gets real time balances, a record of every transaction and mobile top ups, without needing a conventional bank account.

Before you apply Visa rules, fees and processing times are set by the authorities and change from time to time. The figures here are current at the time of writing and are confirmed with you before any payment. Your worker must not begin work before the medical test and residence visa are complete.
